So You Are Interested In The Miniature Pinscher
Miniature Pinschers are also referred to as "Min Pins" or "Mini Pins".
The Min Pin is known as the King Of Toys. He is an alert and feerless little dog with a prancing hackney movement. Very alert, the Min Pin is not easily outsmarted.
The Min Pin usually gets along well with all other dogs, including larger breeds in his family. Keeping in mind he will seek the most attention from you.
He loves to play for hours with toys and usually enjoys the company of the kids too. Small in size but a little tougher than he may look.
The Min Pin will usually get along well with everyone in the family but he just may decide one person is more special to him than everyone else in the family.
Be Careful - the Min Pin can become very demanding with you. If let become bored he can become mischevious and an excessive barker. If allowed to believe he owns you he can become very naughty and want to own Your belongings too. Make sure that he knows You are the boss and that he has plenty to keep him busy.
Easy To Care For - the Min Pin only needs a brisk wipe over with a wet cloth to freshen him up. You do not need to bath him every week. His nails will need a trim occasionally and his ears a quick clean.
Feeding - The Min Pin does not eat a lot but could eat a little more than you may think. It does all depend on the size of your Min Pin. The breeder will help you with this and supply you with helpful information regarding what and how much to feed. Bones are excellent for helping keep teeth nice and clean but always give raw bones. Chicken wings, necks and lamb rib bones are great. Be careful of the fine bone in a drumstick.
The short coat on a Min Pin does not lose much hair when he is healthy so your lounge suite and bed are safe from dog hair.
Originating in Germany - the Min Pin was bred to help catch the rodents that were about. Bred more for this reason, he is very quick with excellent hearing and eyesight. With his pretty hackney movement he also became popular amoungst the ladies who could afford the finer things in life.
